2.56 Highway Posi

Post by Wildcat_65 »

Jim,
can we change this 2.56 open to posi? Its from a 68 Skylark.

On a 2.93 Posi from a 68 GS, how do you handle the cone if its too worn to engage any more?
I've got on ein my 68 GS400 thats not really hooking strongly, wondered how this is corrected.

Are you going to BPG? I can bring 1 or 2 69/69 project rear ends.
Thanks, Ted

Geez, sorry about the delay on the reply. Everything here has been a crazy whirl wind . from personal to jdrace etc. I do not think I will be making it to the BPG. I can help get that posi in order. It should take nothing more than you removing the posi unit and senting it and we can evaluate the unit to be sure it is worth the effort. If it sounds like it just started to cause slippage most likely we can resurface the cones and reshim to your specs street race etc. You usually get only one shot at the resurfacing of a unit so best to do it right . I can help you through it to try your self... But if other parts are worn it may be futal. Jim
