Wish i wld have came across this post sooner. Is this rear still around? Or another like it?. I have a 86 regal with a stock 7.5 with 373 gears and a locker. Last summer we installed an lt1 out of a 94 camero and i snapped two axles. I need to upgrade the rear end.

Long gone. :( Sorry. They go very fast. This is why we build customer 8.5 8.8 and 12 bolt Chevy rear for the G-body cars. There were not too many solid rears for the g-body 4 year and 2 cars is NOT a lot of 10 bolt 8.5 rears.

Then the fact that the 10 bolt 8.5 is only a 2.5" tube from the center section is not the strongest tube design which I think we greatly improved on in our rear with mere stock parts still available in recycling yards keep the custom built rear still with in reach of the average guy wanting to put down big power from a reasonably price rear wheel drive era of vehicles, the 1978-1988 g-body chassis gm cars.
