Ok, well first we need to inspect the yoke seal area then the seal. Sometimes the fluid can leak from the spline area and Buick had a 'O' ring just under the yoke end to control this. It maybe distored or missing also.
We also need to make sure we are dealing with the rear you say it is also ...

Differential Yoke
The yoke on my 67 GS400 is leaking. Is there a way to fix it? I can't seem to find one.
