I am trying to find out more about a 10 bolt diff that came on my 59 GMC truck. It has the casting number 9795084 on it with 244 above that. It is posi drive and has 3.55 ratio.

Google search leads me to believe this belongs to '69 GTO RA IV. Is this correct and what is it worth? Shame to use it on a beat up GMC truck if it highly desirable. Any input, particularly it's value, would be appreciated.

HAve to see the Axle tube code driver side tube back side of the tube.

Need to see the pinion area of the casting also.

084 casting is for all Nodular 3.55 3.90 4.33 rears. IT is not necessarily just GTO only. But definetely a good match for GTO high option horse power car. etc.
The 244 is usually a julian date 001-365 days so day 244 of the 1969 year (september 1st)


Worth is always in the eye of the beholder and WANTER...who wants it the most may pay the most.

I can not see the condition of the rear. IF it is unmolested and has a good visible axle tube code ... 500.00 1250.00 as is condition... High end will be to a guy that has got to have the rear for resto points car.
