ring and pinion question, 1951

I have stock pig w/Dana 44 rear w/ gears 4.89 and want to put in 3.73 w/carrier 3series is what I believe I need to purchase. Who can let me know where to buy the set up? Thanks again.

We need to know the vehicle make and model and year front or rear diff. What spline are the axles
You will need to change the carrier to a lower series carrier to handle the 3.73 gear set which will not fit on the steep carrier series you have which breaks at 3.91 - 5.00 gear ratio ranges.
IF you find out you have a very old rear that you an not get a carrier for then try 3.91 as this will be the lowest ratio you can fit in place of the 4.89 ratio you already have.
