I AM LOOKING FOR ANY USED CORE POSI UNITS OR UNWANTED POSI UNITS.
***NEED MONEY??? EMAIL ME I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN YOUR CORE HOUSING REAR OR POSI UNIT OR GEARS.

But, I'd ask anyway,, you never know unless you ask ! ! !
Would you be in need of a factory stock carrier with (the same) 3:08 gears..
(open end)
From a 67 GTO,,, 10 bolt, 8.2 rear..
They are the original. date coded..

monzaz,just wondering if you would be interested in a rear end out of my 84 gmc g2500 van,i need another one,so this one would need some tlc,also need trans for same vehicle...thanks

Just outside of cleveland,ohio in the burbs as well.is it possible to do a trade or something for the rear end i have,it needs some tlc,i need another rear end,see my other post i replied to,i gave all relevant info needed.thanks again.

Heres my info, 1984 gmc g2500 van,the engine i have is a 4.1 250 cid inline six cylinder,my trans is a 700r4 and my rear end is a 8.5 10 bolt rear end and the gear ratio is a 3.42,what gear ratio should i run is this van considering this is a work vehicle,im trying to get good gas mileage,but i dont want to lose to much towing capacity,i do use a a trailer ocassionally,would a 3.73 work well or should i stay with 3.42,and also do you have a rear end i can get from you,or can you just rebuild mine,thanks jim.

get me the spring perch width and the overall width. Also it might just be easier to rebuild yours since it fits...lol. Jim
You really need to know the power of your vehicle. to get the best gas mileage you should stick with the 3.42 gear. My conversion van has 3.42 and tow my race car and trailor great with 700r4 tranny, BUT it is a V* 350 chevy 168,000 mile motor.

Hey Jim. This is Rodney from FGMCC. I have a 3.42 posi unit from a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I have had it for years. It came from a customer's car under warranty back in 2003. There was nothing wrong with it the customer just could not be satisfied so the dealer I worked at just swapped it out for a new one. I have the ring and pinion gears as well. It has been sitting for some years but overall in great condition. I still have the BOP 12 bolt rear that I spoke to you about previously for my 71 Monte that needs the perches put back in the right locations and looked over as well. Yah I am always interested in parts. Any chance for another trip to Norwalk? We will be at the Halloween Classic. last week of OCt.
