hi i was wandering how a mini spool in a 7.5 (84 cutlass calais) would work for a non daily driver i just go to cruise ins and and stuff like that but need a posi for when i want to smoke the tires im on a very limited budjet and need to make her a posi im running a 342 gear 26 splined out of a 85 s-10 i swiched out the carrior and all from my 273 gear..

Well, mini spools were made for dirt track racer on low budget and class rules of stock rears...etc.

I am to advise you of the dnagers of the mini spool binding the axle shafts and may cause fatuigue of them ending up in a broken axle and maybe serious accident from a loss of the axle from the housing under a accelerated burn out etc.

I personally used a mini spool in a much lighter monza for about 3-4 years in the same way and did not have any issues..LUCKY? Maybe...

You really need to make the call with your life.

I was young and dumb once and also low on the dough. Just be careful and listen to your conscious.

If you had 28 spline axles it would be much better...lol. :?p
