I'm looking for differential for 1970 Buick Skylark Custom 2Dr hard top.Would like 3.40 gears,or out of a 1972 Chevrolet.Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I rebuilt the motor and trying to match the rear end with it.It has 2.73 in right now.

I'm new with this forum, not how to get around.Found this spot by mistake.

Yah kind of needed to make your own thread to get a better pull of people for what you need. We build rear as so that is not a problem. We do not sell used rears as it is a bad opportunity to disaster ...
We can build a 3.55 rear in a Chevy 1972 rear - hat Buick 1968-1970 does not have any aftermarket part following so unless it already has 3.42 in the rear it will not work. If you think 3.55 is too much gear we also have 3.36 in the Chevy rear also. either can be built.
