How much would it cost for a housing and axle package for an S10 ? Do you have open carriers and stock gears (3.08 to 3.73) for sale ?

Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian,

Moser axles package is 259.00 a pair.

We have GM axles 200.00 which we have tested to 10.60 in our bracket race car and they are still in the rear 8 years later. NO ISSUES.

Prices for housings are still correct.

Remember the shipping as it does add up.

We have just received good used 3.08 GM gears for 50.00 and 3.73 gears for 85.00 Both are very clean no issues
New gears are 175.00 for 3.73
3.42 165.00
3.23 175.00
Rebuild kit is 85.00
Open carrier 30 spline is 50.00
open carrier 28 spline is 20.00
We sell mini spools also 28 spline and 30 spline (30 spline is 102.00) have t check 28 spline unit as we do not really build the 28 spline rear too often as the price of the axles are the same why build it smaller? :) JIm
Unfortunately all prices are good for one month as we never know when prices will change. Have to put this in as it is a public add. :)

It might be smart to get a price quote for a complete rear done and finished as you might be surpriced what we can do.

Take care and have a Happy Holiday Season. Jim Mitschke

I already have a 28 spline posi from a late 70's firebird that had 3.08 gears on it (I pitched them with the housing about 10 years ago). I was thinking of the open carrier for mini spool purposes, but I will probably just stay with the posi. Will 28 spline axles out of a 7.625 S10 rearend fit in the 8.5 ? How much abuse will the 7.625 take with slicks and running mid 12's in the quarter ? I am in ohio, so I would probably just drive and pick everything up if I buy something.

Thanks again, Brian

With the light truck it may very well take that abuse. Just have to watch how much off line stall and stick you get with the 28 spline axles. BUT I am sure we can match up the parts you need. Jim

Mini Spool will be the stronger set-up BUT the posi unit might be the weak link you need to keep the axles alive too. :) Jim

Just list what you need and wil ldo what we can .

I do have a large verity of 28 spline axles for the s-10. Jim

I just received a set of 3.08 gears for 50.00 and a set of 3.73 used gm for 75.00

Also will the stock S10 brakes and backing plates bolt up to the 8.5 rear end ?

Thanks, Brian

I believe the truck is a 92. So if the 28 spline axles will work, then all I need is a housing and gears ? am I correct or not ? I am going to have to call and talk to someone one of these days. It would probably be easier that way.

So will the c-clips work or will I have to use the eliminators ? I think the c-clips are different from 8.5 and 7.5 correct ?

Thanks, Brian

elim kit would be better or you can modify the c-clips. We were going to make them a while back and just took a back seat to other projects. Jim
