Im curious, did u slide a smaller axle tube inside the old one or butt them together?

In side. Makes it much stronger there then a butt weld. You will have 1/4" tube in that area like a dana 60 . A narrowing bar still needs to be used to get these tubes straight to the bearing end from the carrier saddles.
