Just answered that on the H-body forum.

The one I am not sure of is the sierra S-15...Is this CORRECT? Is this a 1/2 ton rear or S-10 type rear? Do you mean Sonoma??? Not sierra.??

The large collar would be a harmonic vibration balancer... That is really NOT needed. If you can find a different yoke it would be better NOT to have that for better performance.

Are you trying to BOLT these rear directly into the monza OR are you trying to use the parts from them?

Re:which rear end

the s-15 is/was a long bed, crew cab(2dr)the plate on the body said s-15 sierra LX,could be a Sonoma, drive shaft gone.I was thinking of putting this one in the Monza,if that is not worth it,Ill probably use what I can for the one in the car(no I havent checked which one is in the car yet)I opened the diff this AM,and had the following #:Ring Gear:GM-14092111-11:41-7 5/8.Pinion: l-11:41 GM.Carrier:7139,and a big#3.Axles:28spline-24 5/16 from flange to tip.Housing width:48"(?)B/P to B/P.can you tell me what ratio? Is this a 3 series carrier? The ring/pinion pattern is a gray/pitted pattern but no shinny metal in the lube.It looks as if the pattern was set too deep or this truck did a lot of heavy hauling. I hope this info will help in ID what I have and if it will be worth while using. Thanks in advance for your help!

The 11 41 is the tooth count of the ring and the pinion That is 3.73 rear ratio

24 5/16" ??? can not be correct. Remeasure.

48" backing plate to backing plate will be a stock 2wd s-10 which should fit under your monza nicely.

axle shaft lengthshould be in the 26 3/4" width for this rear.
