need a type o differential

Post by jopa200 »

Hello got a 1970 442 with a type O axle currently has a posi with 2:56 gears the previous owner changed, car came from factory with 3:23. I was able to get a 3:08 ring and pinion from a another O rearend, my question is do you sell a posi differential that will accept the factory 3:08? what do you suggest I should use? Factory or aftermarket? are they rebuilt and ready to install? I assume it should be 28 spline but I guess I should have my guy pull a axle to make sure, your help is appreciated.

We have NEW eaton limited slip posi units that are 28 spline for your bolt in type axles
They will hold both the 3.08 and the 3.23 original GM ratio gears (AKA 3 series gears)
This carrier will also hold the 3.42 and 3.90 aftermarket gears we have those gears also
We also have axle shafts
we have master bearing / total rebuild kit
We have the axle bearing and seal kit for the 67-69
and
The bearing and seal kit for the 1970 only 12 bolt cover 10 bolt ring 'O' type rear.

Hope this helps. Just PM for any pricing if you are interested.
