Chevy 12 bolt rear axle upgrade

Post by Mark Demko »

Hello, new guy here, I tried the search function on this but it says the words are too common.
I want to replace/upgrade the axle shafts in my 12 bolt Chevy rear that I have in my '71 GS 350.
I have taken to the track with this car, so far Im in the mid 13's with MT drag radials, with a best so far of a 1.9 60'
Am I ok with stock replacement axles?
Im concerned about 40 plus year old axles fatigue failure if I keep romping on it, ESPECIALLY with the C-clip
What do you offer as far as a direct bolt in upgrade/replacement?
Im about 45 min. from you in Garfield Hts.

yOU PROBABLY WILL BE OK IF YOUR JUST A FEW WEEKENDS OUT OF THE YEAR...but iT CAN NOT EVER HURT TO UPGRADE THEM AXLES. A oH GEEZ SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS...
wE HAVE THE AXLES ALWAYS IN STOCK. Darn caps again...

we have many brands from motive to yukon to moser... prices will vary we have table display axles too we can deal on. Best to drive on down with at least 200-250.00 and I am sure we will have what you need.
They are stock bolt in mod no drilling or extra stuff like that.
