Help ID my rear end

Hi,
A few years ago I bought a street rod and according to some of the paperwork that was given to me when I bought it, the car has a 69 Chevelle rear end with 3.31 gears. Well I have been searching and trying to figure out what rear end is in it. I'm pretty sure it is not a 69 Chevelle and after pulling the cover and counting the teeth, it has 2.56 gears/open carrier. I'm thinking it is an 8.2 GM BOP out of a Pontiac. Not sure though so that's what I'm Hoping you can help with. I built the engine to about 375 HP over the winter and built a 700R4 to replace the 350TH it had in it. I'm planning on putting in 3.55 gears and a posi carrier.
Here is what I know. Please see pictures.
1. 10 bolt cover with half moon at 3 and 9 o'clock
2. Bolt in axles (Hole in axle flange to access bolts to remove axle)
3. 41 tooth ring gear. 16 tooth pinion gear.
4. "A" casting on upper left
5. "N" and "D" casting on upper right
6. Two sets of casting numbers on lower right. "1188" and "9799100"
7. On front of housing. Two ribs on each side.
Thanks in advance.
