2WD S10 Blazer 8,5 10Bolt

Post by denis »

I´m in search for cheap & strong strip rear end for my 65 Olds.
Found a 8,5 Bolt from a Blazer, owner say 54" from housing flange to housing flange and 59" overall length....
Correct me if i´m wrong but are those not the same measurement like the rear from 64-67 A Body´s ???

That is not going to work... The s-10 is leaf spring and the A-body is four link. NOT even in the same world .

You can not just go by length. You have to satay in the same era of rear and same suspension hook up.

A-body 64-72 will interchange... There still will be slight differences in spring perch mounting and u-joint sizes but generally speaking the mounting points for the upper and lower control and shock mounts are all in the same place. Jim

Jim,sorry for this stupid question... welding a spring perch is not a problem but i dont pay attention to the arm mounting points.

What thinking about the 8.8 rear from 89er Ford Mustang GT Hatchback Jim?

If i can managed to fit, it must be a strong rear or not...
