Frankencar Rear End?

Post by 54f100 »

I purchased a frankencar and could use some help identifying the rear end, I am not sure if it is a 8.5 Corporate or a 8.2 BOP? Unfortunately when the mounting brackets were ground off they ground off the ID numbers too, two are partially visible, 1st digit is E,F, or L, 2nd digit is B or 8.

Desperately need to replace all the drum brake hardware and do not know what fits?

Thanks for your help,

Chris

It is either a Camaro 70-81 or Nova 72 -80 Corp 10 bolt 8.5 rear Might be a TRUCK if it was narrowed.

Do you have a width and pictures of the flange end area? jIM

Width is 61 inches measured wheel mount on drum

I think it is a car because it has control arm mounts on top that have been ground off.

Flange bolts are wider at top than bottom

Ok I see it use to have upper control arm loops that were cut off the housing - It also has BOLT in axles SOoooo This is a 1971 1972 Cutlass or Skylark rear.

Good strong rear to have. YOu can buy MANY parts for this rear. :) JIm
