Thx so much John.
I am sorry for not getting back with you until now (been abroad working).
Anyhow things took a slight turn this weekend when I found a 1971 Buick Riviera GS 9.5" 3.42:1 posi. rear end that I got for $100.00... at a neighbors garage!!!!!!! (lived here for 6 years and did not know he was a former car nut...and Buick nut as well).
What is your opinion for making it fit under my 1965 A-body (what is the difference on the cast in upper control arm attachments?).
Can the original axels be cut and re splined and re drilled for 5 on 4.75" pattern?

Anything can be done. THIS WILL NOT be easy. I would sell it take that money and get what will fit in true to the car. Jim
