1967 firebird 8.2 rear end

I am a little confused on finding gears for my car.

I have a 67 firebird with the XB axel code and mfg# 9783393 with b167 above it. I have found out it is a 8.2 with 2.56 gears and posi. I have verified the 2.56 with tire rotation.

My problem is trying to find 4.11 gears for this rear end. all that I found were for 3.08 and higher carriers, Am I missing something or am I not able to get gears for this rear end. I even looked at your store and nothing comes up.

Basically what do I need to do to get the 4.11 or even 3.90's?

PS Also could you explain why they used a four link rear end in the 67 cars when it is a leaf car.

Carl, Well to start with the gears- We sell aftermarket 3.36 3.55 3.73 3.90 each seat is 229.00 NEW

Next: the housing was 67 only and actually was a Tempest housing. They were playing catchup with the pony car in 67. That is the only reason. Nothing special casting just was not ready yet.

I am pretty sure the site has them I will double check. I can get those gears out plus rebuild kit and or posi or spacer how ever you are going to hook that all up. Jim

What all were you looking to buy? I know the 3.90's lol. those are 229.00 New

Rebuild kit is 79.00.

Posi unit if you need one is 389.00 for the auburn and 489.00 for the Eaton unit.

Shipping will depend on the distance from 44286 and of course how much is purchased in weight. Jim

If I use the spacer and keep my posi what is the lowest gear available?

Sounds good. If i can get the price for the 3.90's with a spacer and bolts for the above rear end with shipping to 92503 (so cal). Just let me know how to get everything paid for.
