Ok,Jim rechecked everything and my backlash was off. My mistake! .26 on pinion, backlash 8, 227 on lft side , and 250 on the right. Looks alot better.

this is final set-up with loaded carrier and new pinion bearing. pinion is .26, backlash is 8-9 all around. 216 on lft, and 254 on rght. Give me some good news this time . ONLY IF YOU WOULD RUN IT YOURSELF THOUGH.

Sorry! The backlash was 9 and felt good and looked better. I will try the 7 backlash and pick the best looking swipe.Will post a pick of the 9 and 7 backlash together next photo shot. Then you can respond and maybe this particular posting help other people as well with the photos and all.

I went one further and tried .26 on the pinion, the backlash here was 9, and 212 on lft, and 257 on rght.

Jim thanks for the shims. Here we go this is .27 on pinion, back lash was 11 on this. 209 on lft, and 259 on rght.

2nd try with .30 pinion shim, 12 backlash, 209 on lft of carrier, and 261 on rgt side. GOOD?????

Alright Jim, here we go .30 pinion shim, 9 backlash, 215 on lft of carrier, 248 on right side. This is 1st try, what do ya think? 2nd pic won't load try later

There is no climbing or bending they look fine. I did not do pics with .30 shim. I will do the .30 and leave the carrier shims alone, and just change them if I need to set the backlash bigger or smaller? Lowest I can go is .30. Ordered shims and never got any lower than the .30! I also paid 43.00 ...

this is final as of right now. 35 on pinion, 6-7 backlash, lft carrier shim 224, rght side 248. Ready to button up!!!!!! must have pulled and reset over 75 times.

4th set up. pinion shim 36, backlash 8-9, lft carrier shims 219,rght.251

3rd set up. pinion shim 39, 7-8 backlask,lft carrier 222,rght.249

2nd set up. pinion shim 37,6-7 backlash,lft carrier shims 222,rght.249

Oredered more shims here is a couple differant set-up and have the numbers to. Then maybe we can figure out which way to go. shim was 32, backlash 7-8, carrier shims lft.210 rght.259
