Re: 1975-Specific 7.5 5 lug swap questions
Well strip is where you will be at a disadvantage... WHAT are you expecting to do? How often? The build: 4.10 is better than 4.11 as even GM has realized that as they do not use that ratio anymore. 4.11 is 9 - 37 4.10 is 10 and 41 MORE teeth give you more touch point and bleed the heat off better so...

Re: Pontiac 8.2 carrier
Yah likely the seal is just dried out :( PReload - yes normally the correct preload is with a NEW crush sleeve and the posi or open carrier removed when figuring. IN THIS case... You should be safe with replacing the seal with some RTV on the outside diameter of the seal to the inside diameter of th...

Re: 1978 Formula Sunbird
Not much as options. You will need a donor rear end for brackets - 12 bolt chevy we use the camaro Moser center for the torque arm connection and then have to weld on the brackets from the donor rear to your NEW Moser housing 12 bolt rear...Same with Ford 9" or any other aftermarket set-up. We ...

Re: Pontiac 8.2 carrier
Yep, remove the 8 bolts which are right hand normal thread...leave 2 across from each other and just back those to bolts little by little so they do not snap from the preload force when removing them.... ren=move them each equal amount back and forth across from each other. now take pictures of the ...

Re: Just another Monza guy here.
Jason, Glad to see you found us... We have done many of these conversions. The trouble is TIME... The longer you wait the harder it gets to find stock parts...Seems the whole world is killing all older scrap yards. So find a literally THROW AWAY H body car is TOUGH....lol. the strongest way to make ...

Re: Jaguar diff with cutlass gears
I is good that we are still trying to be inventive. SEEMS the government is just working LAZY into every newer generation. WE can not be LAZY and be satisfied with what is tossed to us. We have to want more and we have to create if somethings are not available. It must stay this way as this is how o...

Re: Jaguar diff with cutlass gears
That is VERY interesting. I am glad we could supply your need for the gear. It is truly neat how just about anyone with some skill can get machining done to create and solve a problem . How did you know the gear mesh would work as far as pinion engagement to the ring being the same as GM engagement?
